Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Get My Therapist, we aim to provide a smooth and transparent experience for both users and therapists. Please review the following policy to understand your rights and responsibilities when it comes to canceling appointments and requesting refunds.

Session Cancellation by User

Users may cancel a booked therapy session under the following terms:

  • Free Cancellation Window:
    Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session time are eligible for a full refund or rescheduling.
  • Late Cancellations:
    • Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the session are only eligible for a 50% refund, but may be rescheduled at the therapist’s discretion.
    • Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the session are not eligible for a refund, but may be rescheduled at the therapist’s discretion.
  • No-shows:
    If a user misses a session without any prior notice, the session will be marked as completed and no refund will be issued.

To cancel or reschedule a session, please use the options available in the app under “My Bookings” or contact our support team.

*All the refunds are processed after the transaction charges

Therapist-Initiated Cancellation

In the event a therapist needs to cancel a scheduled session due to unforeseen circumstances:

  • Users will be notified immediately via in-app alert or email.
  • The user will be offered the choice to reschedule the session at no additional cost or receive a full refund
Refund Processing

If a session is eligible for a refund, the amount will be processed as follows:

  • Refunds are issued back to the original payment method (e.g., credit card, UPI, wallet).
  • Refunds will be initiated within 5–7 business days of the cancellation confirmation.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

Please note that your bank or payment gateway may take additional time to credit the refund amount.

Package or Subscription Refunds

If you have purchased a session package or subscription:

  • Unused sessions can be refunded within 7 days of purchase, provided no session has been scheduled.
  • Once a session from the package has been used, the remaining sessions can only be rescheduled and are non-refundable.
Technical Issues

If you face any technical difficulty (such as audio/video issues during the session) that interrupts the therapy:

  • Please contact our support team immediately.
  • After reviewing the session log, we may offer to reschedule or refund based on the situation.
